Jack & Juke
Jack & Juke (previously known as TM Juke & The Jack Baker Trio), joined First Word in summer 2010 with their floor-filling cover of Chaka Khan’s legendary ‘Ain’t Nobody’. Already with an album of energetic percussive lead tunes, they both thought it was time to get dirty, and that’s exactly what they have done with their debut single on FW. TM Juke has a huge catalogue of great music in his locker – from his early solo work to his firing remixes and production / writing work with UK soul sensation Alice Russell, he has built up a formidable reputation for both the quality and breadth of his output. Jack Baker is the drummer for both Alice Russell and Bonobo’s live bands, which has seen him tour the world over the last few years. After the percussion-heavy sounds of their debut album, their new work on First Word is aimed squarely at the dancefloor adding some extra electro grit to the mix.
