We’re back at our favourite basement in East London to celebrate one of the greatest musicians doing it right now – the mighty D’Angelo.
The great man himself is playing in Hammersmith on the night, so for all those who’ve hit the show and want more of the same vibes, and also those of us who didn’t get tickets, First Word Social Club is the place to be.
We’ll be playing the sounds and influences of D’Angelo: expect Soulquarians, Erykah Badu, J Dilla, Prince, Sly & The Family Stone, ATCQ, The Roots, Common and much much more. DJs on the night are FW label boss Gilla, SomethinkSounds and Dimentions Festival main man Andy Lemay, as well as a secret guest from our extended family (no guessing!), dropping the finest selection of soul, hip hop, jazz and beats.
Entry is free, but get there early to make sure you get in.

2014 has been a landmark year for us, and we’ve had a blast celebrating our 10th year in the business. We couldn’t do any of this without our wonderful artists and of course you, our fans. So, thanks to everyone who has supported us this year – we’ve got plenty of exciting new music for you in 2015 that we’re sure you’re gonna love as much as we do.
Have a great Christmas and a happy New Year!
